Dr. Nicole Blanchett from Toronto Metropolitan University, the principal investigator of the Canadian JRP team, joins the podcast to discuss two articles that were published following the ‘Between Ideals and Practices’ conference. Blanchett explains why it’s difficult to get journalists to participate in academic research, and what academics could do differently to improve such participation. She also provides a preview of the Canadian team’s plan for the third wave of JRP data collection, which is set to start in 2026.
